Having lived in the Los Angeles area for many years and seen how people go crazy about taking pictures of famous people, this new bill might help a little.

Guitar tab books allow you to easily play the guitar without any knowledge of how to read music or even without any previous musical knowledge. Thanks to the simple layout of guitar tab you can easily see which note on the guitar you should be playing.

Guitar tab is written out in a similar way to that of musical notation that you may have previously seen. The difference is, guitar tab is much simpler.

Guitar tab consists of 6 lines representing the 6 strings of the guitar. You need to imagine the guitar is layed on its side with the thickest guitar string being the bottom line and the thinnest guitar string being represented by the top line.

Numbers are positioned onto the 6 lines which represent the fret number you should be playing. For example, if you saw a number two on the bottom line, this would mean you position your finger on the second fret of the thickest string (the E String), likewise if you see a number 10 on the second line from the top, you would position your finger on the tenth fret on the second thinnest string (the B String).

Now, with this knowledge you can go ahead an choose a guitar tab book and begin to learn some music. We have tab books that have lessons, songs, and guitar solos with backing tracks. Search for your favourite band and you can be pretty sure there will be a tab book with their music in. Enjoy!
