The concept
Yellow Tools modular virtual instruments are a combination of high-end sound samples and an innovative audio engine. A step forward for authentic and realistic sample based performances. Developed with precision by Yellow Tools‘ sound designers and software engineers, Majestic represents a stunning virtual instrument that makes your productions sound real as it was never possible before. The result: easy handling, endless possibilities, limitless creativity and just lots of fun to make music.
The sounds
Majestic includes over 16GB of highly optimized sounds of various e-basses, categories are: American Tube, British Tube, DI, Upright Bass and Warm. The instruments are available with playing styles such as fingered, fingered muted, thumb, slapped, picked and picked muted. Playing techniques include long notes, vibrato notes, short notes, ghosts, tappings, hammer-ons, 8th notes, slow slides, fast slides, back slides, fret noises, FX... nearly everything with 8 velocity splits per note. All Majestic’s basses were recorded in 2 different scales!
Different productions call for different bass sounds, and Majestic gives you options for any situation. There are dry, DI bass sounds that you can shape yourself, exactly as you would if you had a bass player in your studio. Majestic also has the same basses played through top quality preamps, giving you a more polished sound out of the box.
Finally, Majestic even includes bass sounds fully produced with EQ and compression, designed to fit specific musical styles. With Majestic you get great sounding presets and the ability to shape and tweak raw sounds to fit your production perfectly.
As special bonus Majestic comes with nearly 3GB of 100 year old upright basses!
The engine
Majestic offers powerful features, an intelligent user interface and an optimized engine for the simultaneous use of several thousand sound samples. Majestic's intelligent polyphony management enables the adjustment of the instruments to the power of your system and the subdivision into multis with up to 8 layers allows you to combine and save all your individual settings. The amazing results are possible because the engine was developed for the sounds AND the sounds for the engine. Perform with Majestic‘s e-bass instruments in a way you would play the instruments live!
